Touch-Based Modalities And Offerings

The BOTE team includes practitioners of craniosacral, cupping, thai massage, and deep-tissue massage. See our services section for full offerings.

CranioSacral Therapy is a gentle yet powerful technique that is effective in releasing neck pain, back pain, and mental stress. It does this by optimizing the movement of cerebrospinal fluid through the spine and around the skull. Developed by physician William Sutherland, this therapy provides a very soothing and relaxing healing experience.

Chinese Fire Cupping is when a cotton ball is lit on fire and quickly sweeps the inside of the glass cup. The method doesn't really heat the vessel; it simply removes the oxygen to create a vacuum to adhere to the skin. Cups are retained in one spot for 0-15 minutes, depending. Sliding, or "gliding", the cups along the meridians is also performed. The general consensus is that this feels heavenly.

Cupping therapy is indicated for muscle pain, nerve pain, insomnia, digestive and gastro-intestinal disorders, respiratory and cardiovascular diseases, and gynecological disorders. It's also excellent for detoxification. For tight, tense, sore muscles, it has been said that cupping can do in ten minutes what massage can do in an hour.

Thai Massage is the practice of being worked on through stretching and a focus on joints and mobility by a practitioner on a floor mat. Stretching increases range of motion and flexibility. Bodies know what they are by how they move, having diverse movements is vital to health.

Deep Tissue Massage is a form of bodywork that aims to relieve tension in the deeper layers of tissue in the body. Deep Tissue Massage is a highly effective method for releasing chronic stress areas due to misalignment, repetitive motions, and past lingering injuries.

Vibrational Offerings

Plan a sound bath for your team. A sound bath is where a group of people lay comfortably on the floor while a practitioner rings singings bowls that fill the room with healing vibrations. This is an opportunity to have a collective experience that brings inner and outer connection.
